Kate Hudson made her television debut performing as a singer on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The Oscar-nominated actress, 45, sang Gonna Find Out from her upcoming debut album, Glorious, after being interviewed by Jimmy, 49, and playing a game of Catchphrase.

Kate donned a long white dress with tassels and a plunging neckline for her performance.

She hit several high notes and flashed her cute smile as she sang the catchy tune.

Kate gave a polished performance of the song that she previously said was inspired by those summer nights when you like someone and wonder if you’re going home with them.

“A big ovation, not bad at all,” Jimmy added as he hugged Kate.

Kate previously spoke to Jimmy about her debut album, Glorious, due out on May 17, and said it was the “biggest sensation” to come out after two and a half years in the making.

“I’ve loved music my whole life,” Kate said.

Kate said she wrote songs with Linda Perry and her partner Danny Fujikawa for the album.

He said they had 26 songs in just two weeks and that the album was named after the title track, Glorious, which he described as a “big, sweeping ballad.”

Kate said she was on tour and had an upcoming gig at The Bellwether in Los Angeles.

In addition to singing, Kate also has a comedic role on a Mindy Kaling show in which she plays a “president of a huge franchise basketball team.”

Kate released her debut single Talk About Love in January and followed up with the single Live Forever released in March. Talk About Love was co-written with Linda and her fiancé, Danny.

Gonna Find Out premiered in April and Kate premiered it on BBC Radio 2.
