Jude Bellingham came under fire from the Spanish press following Real Madrid’s humiliating 4-0 home defeat to Barcelona.
Bellingham is still searching for his first goal for Real this campaign, a far cry from his debut season at the club, when he scored 23 goals in all competitions.
The England international was eager to score against Barcelona, but was unable to do so because his team was totally defeated.
All four of Barcelona’s goals came in the second half, with Robert Lewandowski scoring a brace before Lamine Yamal and Raphinha scored.
Marca believes that only one person is to blame for Bellingham’s problems.
Jude Bellingham has been described as a “shadow of what he was” by the Spanish press
Marca believes Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is to blame for not putting Bellingham in the right position.
The publication claimed that Bellingham’s work rate cannot be questioned, but stressed that he is operating effectively as a full-back at times, which does not help his performances.
The journalist Juan Ignacio García-Ochoa wrote in brand: ‘Bellingham is a shadow of the player who burst onto the scene last season at the Bernabéu. And the fault is not his, but the way they are handling it.
‘Every day he plays in a position that is not his and the boy, although he gives everything, does not shine. “Playing close to the right wing, playing many minutes as a winger, is a joke in bad taste that Ancelotti must correct immediately.”
Marca added: “The fact that a player who scored almost twenty goals last year has not scored any when we are almost in November is something that deserves serious analysis.”

Marca praised 17-year-old Lamine Yamal, scorer of Barcelona’s goal, as “the chosen one”
On the contrary, Marca praised Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.
The 17-year-old, who was part of the Spanish team that won Euro 2024, is unfazed by the big stage and managed to score against Real.
Marca wrote about Yamal: ‘He is a chosen one. He showed it at the Euro Cup, he continued to show it at the start of the League and confirmed it at the Bernabéu.
‘He didn’t have his best game, but three hits were enough to silence the Bernabéu. His goal with his right foot was a declaration of intentions: Madrid is going to suffer a lot with him.
