Jennifer Lopez narrowly avoided an awkward encounter with Ben Affleck and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, as they all attended the same event with their children in Brentwood on Friday.
The Atlas actress, 55, who is “planning a big comeback” next year following her split from the Oscar winner, 52, was joined by one of her twins, Emme, 16, as well as some friends for the night out.
It comes just two months after Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20, the same day as their second wedding anniversary.
The singer looked chic in a light gray jumpsuit that was secured with a belt tied around her waist.
Jennifer slipped on a pair of nude peep-toe pumps and let her long locks flow to her shoulders in light waves.

Lopez carried a small brown bag over her right shoulder to hold some items she needed.
She opted for minimal accessories to allow the outfit to be the main focal point and added an assortment of rings on each of her hands.
Jennifer crossed a parking lot accompanied by Emme and friends with whom she had a happy conversation.
The star shares Emme and Max, 16, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, to whom she was married from 2004 to 2014.
Affleck was also seen walking in the same area with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and their 15-year-old son Fin. The former couple also share Samuel, 12, and Violet, 18, who is currently at university.
The trio were seen walking side by side while talking to others who joined them as they headed to their next destination.
Ben kept it casual by wearing a pair of light blue jeans, as well as a red patterned shirt and a dark red jacket.
Garner also dressed down in a pair of jeans and a black sweater to stay warm in the colder temperatures.

The mother of three completed the look by wrapping a black scarf loosely around her neck and slipped on a pair of black pumps.
Lopez and Affleck split in April and four months later, Jennifer filed for divorce from the Good Will Hunting actor after two years of marriage.
Earlier last week, the actress broke her silence about their split while speaking to Interview Magazine – and described the split as “sad” and “scary.”
The singer also talked about taking some time before entering into another relationship in the future, explaining, “You have to be healthy.” You have to be complete if you want something more complete.”
‘You have to be good on your own. I thought I had learned that, but I didn’t. And then this summer I had to say, “I need to go away and be alone. I want to prove to myself that I can do it.”
Jenifer then revealed if she regrets her marriage to Ben.
‘Not for a second. That doesn’t mean he didn’t almost eliminate me for good. “He almost did it,” he said, revealing that “he’s not looking for anyone.”
Lopez later candidly admitted that her split from Affleck was “fucking hard,” adding, “She feels alone and unknown and scary.” He feels sad. “It feels desperate.”

“But when you sit in those feelings and say, ‘These things aren’t going to kill me,’ it’s like I’m actually able to feel joy and happiness for myself.”

“I used to say I’m a happy person, but I was still looking for something that someone else could fill, and it was like, ‘No, I’m actually good.'”
Jennifer also talked about learning ‘lessons’ and said: ‘I think that’s what I love about life, that there’s no end point.’
‘You can only improve and grow if you want to. It’s either grow or die, and I don’t want to do the dying part.
“And yes, there are times when I thought I had it figured out, and then life tells me, ‘We’ll send you something else and see if you fall for it.’ Let’s see if you’ve really learned that lesson.” And he hadn’t.
Lopez added: “Now I understand that in a much deeper way, which doesn’t mean I won’t make mistakes in the future, but again, when your whole house blows up, you’re standing there in the rubble, saying, ‘How can I not?’ allow that to happen again?”
“And then you start to examine it little by little and say, ‘Okay, I did this, this was my part, this is what I should have seen from the beginning, this is what I didn’t look at.’ Those things are what really are the lessons.’
