Just days after it was revealed that his Road House would be getting a sequel, Jake Gyllenhaal showed off his voice in new Saturday Night Live promos.
The 43-year-old actor will host the season 49 finale of SNL on Saturday, with musical guest Sabrina Carpenter.
Cast member Bowen Yang joined the host and musical guest for a trio of new promos that dropped Thursday.
The three open with Gyllenhaal saying, “Hi, my name is Jake Gyllenhaal and I’ll be hosting the season finale of SNL this week with Sabrina Carpenter.” .
The first promo shows Bowen telling Sabrina: “your song is stuck in my head”, probably referring to her hit Espresso.

Carpenter said, ‘Oh, thank you Bowen,’ although when Bowen started singing the song, it clearly wasn’t the same one.
“Yeah, it’s like, ‘Summer’s coming, everyone’s in shorts,’ while Carpenter tries to interject: ‘Oh, that’s not my song, I don’t think so.’
Adds Gyllenhaal: “I’m sure it is, it’s like, ‘Summer, shorts hanging on the boardwalk with all my friends and stuff.'”
Carpenter adds, “Wait, that’s really good, guys,” as Gyllenhaal and Yang sing together, “Board shorts summer!”
In the second trailer, Bowen tells Gyllenhaal that his body in his Road House remake was “incredible.”
Yang added that, “You actually inspired my fitness journey,” as an emotional Gyllenhaal thanks Yang, though he revealed what his “journey” was all about.
‘Yes, it inspired me to stay thin and fat. “I’m not going to do all that, dummy,” Yang said, as Carpenter added, “No, you look so good Bowen,” as Yang thanked him.
In the final promo, Gyllenhaal asks Carpenter where her last name comes from, as the singer responds, “It came out of nowhere,” as Gyllenhaal and Yang laugh.

Earlier this week, Amazon’s Prime Video revealed that Gyllenhaal’s Road House remake has racked up “nearly 80 million viewers” to date, while also announcing a sequel.
The follow-up was announced at Amazon’s first upfront presentation in New York, by Amazon MGM Studio head Jennifer Salke.
“As we saw this spring, the world went crazy over a little movie called Road House,” he said at the presentation.
‘Nearly 80 million viewers around the world have seen Road House. We like to see these results like a baby,” she added.
