A glorious Byron Bay holiday home owned by former Neighbours actor Blair McDonough has hit the market.

Located in Suffolk Park, this luxurious four-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment is listed for sale with a price tag of between $3.8 million and $4.18 million.

Blair, 43, purchased the original two-bedroom beach shack with his wife Kristi Townley in 2016 for $940,000.

The couple then carried out a series of major renovations to the property, including adding an extension and a granny flat, it was reported. The Daily Telegraph.

Located just 6km from Byron Bay town centre and just minutes from the famous Tallow Beach, the home is designed to make the most of the tropical surroundings.

Highlights include a well thought out open plan layout with bi-fold doors opening to multiple entertaining areas.

Features include vaulted ceilings, an outdoor breakfast bar, and a master bedroom with an outdoor hot tub.

The “entertainment” style property is surrounded by wooden terraces and sculpted gardens.

There is also a dedicated barbecue area and a swimming pool that features a propeller-generated “swimming gym” that allows for aquatic exercise routines.

Other highlights include a self-contained apartment that can also be converted into a studio.

Blair rose to fame as runner-up on the first series of Big Brother in 2001.

His profile skyrocketed later that year after joining the cast of Neighbours, playing the character of Stuart.

While on the show, he dated his co-star Delta Goodrem.

She worked on the soap opera until 2006 and the following year moved to the UK to join the period drama Heartbeat in a recurring role between 2008 and 2009.
