Dame Kristin Scott Thomas has revealed she has secretly married her partner of five years.
The Four Weddings and a Funeral actress married Bloomberg editor-in-chief John Micklethwait in September.
The fiercely private 64-year-old confirmed the nuptials had taken place in her husband’s homeland of Rutland – and even revealed what British staple was on the menu.

She told Ruthie’s Table 4 podcast: ‘We had coronation chicken. “It was a pleasure, it was absolutely delicious.”
The podcast is hosted by River Cafe owner Lady Ruth Rogers, who introduced her friend. She said: “Sitting here today, basking in the love and joy of getting married just a few weeks ago to publisher and my friend John Mickelthwait.”
Dame Kristin, who plays MI5 spy Diana Taverner in Slow Horses, said she also received a very personal wedding gift from her sister.
She said: ‘He sourced all the family recipes my mother had collected, from my great-grandmother in Scotland to my other grandmothers around the place, on both sides of the family. He scanned them and turned them into a book for me.’

The star also gave a nod to her co-star Jack Lowden’s secret wedding to Little Women actress Saoirse Ronan in the summer.
Speaking about working on Slow Horses for four years, Dame Kristen said: “In those four years a lot happens: people have died, people have been born, people have gotten divorced, people have gotten married.” This year alone we’ve had two weddings, Jack’s and mine.’

She was previously married to French obstetrician François Olivennes from 1987 to 2005. They share three children, Hannah, Joseph and George.
Dame Kristin starred alongside Hugh Grant in Richard Curtis’s Four Weddings and a Funeral as the eternally single best friend.
Husband number two is John Mickelthwait, 62, editor-in-chief of the financial news agency Bloomberg, who recently interviewed US presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
Dame Kirstin, who tries to keep her love life under wraps, previously shut down any conversations with John during an interview with the Financial Times.
When asked about their romance, Dame Kristin said: I’m not going to talk about it. I’m talking about me.’
In 2013, Dame Kristin gave a rare insight into her private life and joked that she would probably be single for life because “all the men will run for the hills” when they see it.
The actress told the Sunday Telegraph: “It’s incredibly difficult to keep relationships alive when you have a lifestyle like mine.” I’m never in one place for more than a few weeks.
He also admitted that his personal life is often affected due to his career.
She said: ‘If I have committed to doing something, then I have to do it correctly. So I have to disconnect from my personal life. I can make a phone call at lunchtime, but I can’t face anything else.
“So it’s actually a kind of escapism. Complicated things at home? Get work done! Go somewhere else and pretend I’m someone else.
