After Caitlin Clark received her sixth technical foul of the season on Friday, some Indiana Fever fans were concerned that their point guard could miss a postseason game.
A seventh technical foul carries a one-game suspension for any WNBA player, but a team representative confirmed that Clark’s technical foul total will not be a concern in the playoffs.
A Fever spokesperson confirmed that the total number of technical fouls a player has received is reset at the start of the playoffs.
The Fever have two games remaining in the regular season, against the Dallas Wings on Sunday, and their regular-season finale against the Washington Mystics on Thursday.
If Clark commits a technical foul against the Wings, he will miss the game against the Mystics. If he only commits a technical foul against the Mystics, he will make the postseason without a suspension.

Outside of Phoenix Mercury players, Clark has the most technical fouls in the WNBA.
A trio of Mercury stars — Natasha Cloud, Diana Taurasi and Kahleah Cooper — have equal or more than Clark, with Cloud the league’s only player suspended so far this season for technical foul accumulation.
Clark received her sixth technical foul of the season during Indiana’s 78-74 loss to the Aces when she hit the post below the basket. That action cost her $600, the WNBA’s fine for the sixth such foul in any season.
With two games remaining in the season, the Fever are all but assured of the No. 6 seed for the WNBA playoffs.
If that holds, the Connecticut Sun would be the team’s opponent in the first round of the postseason.
Clark and the Fever went 1-3 against the Sun this season but won their most recent meeting.
