A random act of kindness from a stranger (and a Hollywood star, at that) gave one Reddit user a story that will stay with him for a lifetime.
In a now-deleted post on the social media site’s r/golf subreddit, one person describes meeting the comedy icon when he was paired up for a round of golf in Canada, in the island province of Nova Scotia.
“One of my friend’s friends went to Cabot Cape Breton for a weekend trip and got paired with a single golfer,” the r/golf post reads.
‘At the end of the trip, Adam Sandler was waiting for them. They said he was very nice and, at the end of the trip, when they were paying, they found out that he had already paid the entire bill for the weekend.’
That post exploded on the site, with nearly 1,400 upvotes and more than 80 comments.
A Reddit user talked about a time when he was paired with Adam Sandler for a round of golf.
The meeting took place on a golf course in majestic Cape Breton on the island of Nova Scotia.
Sandler has now turned his focus more than ever to golf as he prepares for the sequel to his popular film ‘Happy Gilmore.’
Speaking to 92.3 The Fan about Audacy in March, Christopher McDonald, the actor who played Happy Gilmore rival Shooter McGavin in the film, said he met with Sandler and saw an early draft of the sequel’s script.
Sports icons such as Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and golf celebrities Paige Spiranac have been linked to the project.
There is no information yet on a planned release date for the film.
