Hilarie Burton Morgan is trying to stop a young woman who has allegedly impersonated her 14-year-old son Gus on TikTok and YouTube.
The One Tree Hill star, 42, posted a screenshot of the offensive TikTok profile @AugustusDeanMorgan on Instagram and explained what was happening in the caption.
‘Hello gang. “I need some help,” he began, “I don’t have TikTok and neither does our son. But there is a disgusting girl who is obsessed with him and keeps creating profiles on various platforms.
She joked: ‘I get it.’ He’s awesome, but she’s a freak for stealing a 14-year-old boy’s identity.
She asked her TikTok followers to report the account before adding that she had contacted the perpetrator’s parents, her directly, and the authorities.

‘Due to certain actions he has taken, he has violated the laws,” the mother of two children added.
Burton and her husband, The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, 58, also have a six-year-old daughter named George.
Burton later amended her post to share that the TikTok account had been deleted.
He added: “But it was linked to a YouTube account where she was also posing as Gus.” His name is now clearly present on that YouTube account.
Burton then addressed the woman directly and wrote: ‘I see H*****.’ I called your campus police. I contacted your mother’s church. “I’m not kidding.”
Jeffrey Dean Morgan commented on the post, supporting his wife.
‘Damn people. get a life Preferably yours, but certainly NOT our children’s. If not… prepare yourself for Morgan’s wrath, which I promise you is no joke. side note…IT’S A COOL FLIP PHONE.’
Laws on online impersonation are fairly new and vary from state to state, but in general, impersonating another person is considered a prosecutable crime.

Burton’s followers agreed that the situation was “disturbing” in the comments, as one person wrote: “Pretending to be a child is a whole new level of crazy.”
The post comes just a few days after Burton shared photos with Jeffrey on Instagram where they were accompanying one of Gus’ school dances.
“I had the best welcome date at the dance tonight,” her caption began.
