Despite Harry’s brief return to London for a thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, Buckingham Palace confirmed the monarch would not meet him.
Adding to the emotional toll, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles would bestow a military honor on Prince William, an honor that was previously expected to go to Harry. Prince William has now assumed the role of colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corps, the regiment in which Harry served during his deployment to Afghanistan.

It comes after commentator Michael Cole gave insight into the new development citing that the divisions between Prince Harry and the Royal Family are now “very, very deep”. He said GB News: “The fact that the King has not found time during the three days that his youngest son has been in London to see him is definitely a royal flea in the ear for Prince Harry. “The divide between California hilltop Camelot and the British Royal Family, and continuing the work, is now very, very deep. The divisions are stark…and between the Spencer family and the Windsors.”
