A bitter property dispute that broke out on a suburban street left a man covered in blood.
Action for Alice, a social media group dedicated to sharing criminal activity in the Northern Territory, shared confrontational photos after the conflict unfolded at about 7pm on Tuesday in Karama, north of Darwin.
The Facebook page’s administrators say the man had tried to stop a woman and several small children from destroying a bar from which they had been evicted.
However, the group turned on him and were seen throwing objects at his head before another man arrived, off camera.
“I just saw a mother and six girls beat up my neighbour. We are now waiting for the police,” a witness told Action for Alice.
‘Another car pulled up and a guy chased him into his house and smashed up the whole back of it.
“All I was trying to do was stop the girls from destroying the house they had been evicted from. They didn’t do that.”
Exclusive footage shared with Daily Mail Australia shows a woman taunting the man, who has lived next door to the public housing estate for 20 years.
A bitter property dispute that broke out on a suburban street left a man covered in blood.
A young woman (pictured) filmed herself and some children throwing stones at the man while telling him he would “go to jail.”
The young woman said the man pulled her hair and punched her in the jaw before she began filming.
“Why did you hit me?” he said.
-I didn’t do anything. I didn’t hit you.
-I wasn’t at your house…I was at my mother’s house.
The disturbing video shows a group of children repeatedly throwing stones at the man’s head.
At one point, the man retaliated and threw a rock at the children.
“Hitting kids with rocks, huh? Evidence, motherfucker!” said the girl who was filming.
‘He beat little children. He beat minors.
‘You’re going to jail, you’re going to jail!’
The girl also told the man that he “has to go back to his country” and called him “an idiot who looks like a pedophile.”
The two photos showing the bloodied man after the confrontation generated thousands of reactions after being published.
“How sad! What disgusting behavior from those involved!” wrote one person.
“Poor guy. It’s heartbreaking,” said another.
Action for Alice has shared shocking photos following the clash which unfolded at around 7pm on Tuesday in Karama, north of Darwin.
The girl filming claimed the man (pictured) had “hit” her and told her he would use footage of him throwing rocks at the group of children as “proof.”
However, other commentators questioned why the man was willing to get involved in the first place.
“Why didn’t you film them and then show them to the police?” wrote one.
“Sometimes people just have to mind their own business. It’s horrible, yes, but you don’t have to put yourself in dangerous situations,” said another.
Other commentators blamed politicians for failing to deter violence amid the growing crime epidemic in the NT.
“That’s why the government should stop investing money in tourism and instead focus on controlling crime. I will never go back to that place,” said one.
“This is so pathetic. Please politicians stop being so proactive and get real. This is a joke. No one in Australia should have to live and endure this,” wrote another.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Northern Territory police, fire and emergency services for comment.
