Guy Sebastian sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry last month when he announced his sudden departure as a coach on The Voice Australia.
And on Wednesday, the singer, 43, spoke about his decision to leave the popular Channel Seven reality show.
talking to The daily telegraphGuy explained: “I think I’ve gotten too comfortable… I’ve done it because it’s comfortable.”
‘It’s great for my family life and keeping me at home. I’m always busy and I always have something on the calendar that prevents me from jumping in with both feet and I think it all comes down to this desire to feel uncomfortable again.’
While the show plays on screens for several weeks, production on The Voice lasts six months of the year.
Sebastian revealed that he wants to focus on traveling around Australia.
“I want to dedicate myself to it, but currently I can only dedicate myself to my music, touring and my art in fits and starts, and it’s a juggle between fatherhood, being a husband, being a musician, being on television.” Sebastian explained.
Guy announced the news on his Instagram account on October 30.
