• Select a one-year or three-year horizon and the actual number of licensed people or devices. Verify what one license includes.
• Record the currency, region and tax basis. Do not compare different currencies as though their amounts were equivalent.
• Include required initial purchases, recurring fees and add-ons needed for your task. Separate optional maintenance from mandatory charges.
• Check whether the displayed monthly amount requires an annual commitment. A discounted monthly equivalent may not be available month-to-month.
• Read the renewal and upgrade terms. A perpetual license does not automatically include future major versions or ongoing maintenance.
• Include any separate hosting, storage or setup costs needed to make the full workflow work. Open-source licensing does not eliminate infrastructure or maintenance time.
• Recheck current vendor terms before buying. Our calculator estimates known charges; it does not predict tax, exchange rates or future price changes.
