Giovanni Pernice’s girlfriend Molly Brown thinks allegations that he is difficult to work with on Strictly Come Dancing are “bizarre” and she is “quite angry about it”.
The professional dancer, 33, has been embroiled in a feud with former celebrity partner Amanada Abbington, who reportedly suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after her time on Strictly.
Amanda was reported to have joined the Italian’s other former partners, Ranvir Singh and Laura Whitmore, for an “emotional summit” to “compare notes” about their time working with him.
The dancer also reportedly left Step’s Faye Tozer, 48, in tears after a heated backstage confrontation on spin-off show It Takes Two in 2018.
Giovanni has been confiding in Molly throughout the ordeal. A source told MailOnline: ‘Gio has been through a horrible few months, but Molly has been an absolute rock the entire time.

“He’s told his friends how strange he thinks the things Gio is being accused of are because they don’t match up with the person he knows.
‘Like many of her colleagues, she has become quite angry about this and believes that those making claims should complain or stop causing problems.
The source added that Molly and Giovanni’s romance is progressing quickly and he has told friends what a great support she has been to him.
They added: ‘Molly and Gio have become incredibly close very quickly. He travels a lot and she knows all about his previous reputation. But she doesn’t care and he is very happy with the relationship.
‘She has been a great support to Gio over the last few months and he has been very open with his friends about how important that has been. He’s not sure he could have managed without having her around.
It was previously reported that Giovanni would meet with Strictly’s top brass and that the broadcaster would back the dancer after not receiving any official complaints against him.
A source close to Amanda, Ranvir and Amanda told MailOnline: “They are very unhappy with the way the BBC is handling this.”
The source continued: “It’s one thing to say they support him, but they feel like Giovanni is being promoted and pushed to center stage in an attempt to make them leave and stay silent.” It’s a kick in the teeth.

“One of the reasons they wanted to meet was to try to find a way forward because they have no intention of backing down and letting this fade away.
“All three have been affected in different ways by what happened and have agreed to talk again about the best way to do something about it because they are genuinely concerned about the desire and the fact that someone else may end up experiencing what they suffered.” I’m going through.
“But right now there’s a feeling that Gio is practically untouchable, especially given that he’s so close to Anton that he thinks about him a lot and can’t believe the things he’s been hearing about his partner.”
The BBC has since shown its support for Giovanni by promoting his new primetime show with Anton Du Beke.
It comes after Giovanni wished his ‘beautiful’ girlfriend a happy birthday on Thursday after the pair rekindled their romance.
The couple showed that they are still going strong after being hit recently by rumors that they had split.
In the photo, Giovanni and Molly looked as in love as ever with the dancer putting an arm around his girlfriend as he gazed lovingly at her.
‘Happy birthday to my beautiful! TMABWAW I love you!’ he captioned the post.
Giovanni recently denied he is engaged to Molly after she was photographed wearing a gold ring.
Just a month after it was reported that they had ended their brief romance, the Strictly star was spotted with the model leaving her show at the London Palladium.
In images obtained by MirrorMolly sported a gold band on her ring finger as she and Giovanni headed home together, sparking rumors that they might be engaged.
However, a representative for Giovanni told MailOnline that this is not the case.
Last month it was reported that the couple had ended their brief romance after just three weeks together.
The Italian dancer went Instagram official with the model in February, but MailOnline revealed just weeks later that they had unfollowed each other and Molly deleted a snap with Giovanni from her grid.

The couple first sparked speculation about a romance after they were believed to have gone on numerous dates, aiming to “keep things quiet” at the time.
A source said Mirror at the time: “Giovanni and Molly met a few weeks ago and, although it’s very early, things seem to be going well between them.”
“He’s been keeping things a secret because he didn’t want too much pressure while they were getting to know each other.”
While little is known about the model, she regularly shares stunning snaps of her lavish lifestyle and exotic vacations on social media.
Giovanni previously dated a host of gorgeous stars including Love Island’s Maura Higgins, TOWIE’s Jess Wright and his former Strictly partner Georgia May Foote.
He was recently linked to his Strictly co-star Jowita Przystal before splitting in March 2023 after three months due to their “busy work schedules”.
