Gemma Collins has spoken openly about her struggle with self-harm after being cruelly bullied at school.
Speaking during a candid interview on the new podcast Everything I Know About Me, the former TOWIE star, 43, admitted nasty taunts about her weight led her to take diet pills when she was just 13.
Gemma, who grew up in Essex, revealed she was bullied by other students after moving to an all-girls school and felt “a lot of pressure” about her appearance.
He added that he became “so unhappy” that he self-harmed and kept it a secret from his parents for many years.
In the first two episodes of Everything I Know About Me, Gemma also shares the pain she suffered after terminating a pregnancy when she was 21. after doctors discovered her unborn baby was a “hermaphrodite.”
The podcast also sees Gemma talk about her turbulent romantic history and rise to fame on TOWIE.
