Steph Claire Smith opened up about her body image insecurity and how she overcame her struggles.
The fitness influencer, 28, took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a body positive message with her fans while opening up about her insecurities.
She revealed that she used to feel self-conscious about the look of her arms and wanted them to be “smaller”, but now she has learned to be proud of her “strength”.
Steph, mother of two-year-old son Harvey, said she stopped comparing herself to others and assured her followers that everyone has their own insecurities.
Sharing a mirror selfie dressed in gym gear, she wrote: “I used to feel very insecure about my arms. I just wanted them to be smaller. I would compare myself to others all the time.

‘Now I look at them and I am very proud of their strength. What they allow me to do every day. How they help me carry my little man every day.
‘I guess it’s just a friendly reminder that no matter what someone is like, we all have our ‘things’, our insecurities that we feel or have overcome.
‘And you can’t always see them from an outside perspective, so know that it’s the same with your own insecurities.
“They are more obvious to you than they will be to anyone else.”
Her latest post comes days after she attended Taylor Swift’s Eras tour concert in Melbourne on Saturday.
The social media star scored a highly sought-after ticket and shared a gallery of snaps of herself dressed for the big night on her Instagram.
She showed off her incredible figure in a pink mini dress, which she paired with metallic heeled boots as she embraced the fans’ dress code.

She opened up about meeting the queen of pop during a Q&A with her fans on Instagram, and shared two photos with Taylor.
He explained how they met at a gym when they were young, while Steph was working as a model in New York and Taylor was living in the city.
“I was training with Justin Gelband, doing some of his classes and also individual sessions,” he began.
