One man has died in a Melbourne house fire, while another man managed to escape safely.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on Daours Ct in Watsonia at around 11.15pm on Sunday.
A man was found dead inside the home after firefighters extinguished the blaze, while a 51-year-old resident was able to escape.
He was rushed to hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.
The house has been declared a crime scene and an arson expert will examine the area on Monday.
