A Brazilian woman will appear against her father, prosecuted for the triple murder of her ex-boyfriend and his parents.

The court reversed its decision on Thursday after accepting a request from the prosecution, which asked that Paulo Matías be removed from the courtroom while his daughter and mother, Vanesa Tibcherani, were questioned by lawyers for both sides.

São Paulo prosecutor Soraia Munhoz said the request to ban her from the courtroom was based on “well-founded fear and obvious embarrassment” that her daughter and mother were in the judge’s room.

Surveillance video footage showed Paulo Matías shooting Rafael Miguel and his parents 13 times in front of the house as his daughter looked on in horror.
