DaBaby will not serve any jail time in a 2020 felony assault case as his legal team agreed to a plea deal in a Los Angeles County court on Thursday.
The 32-year-old rapper, who was not present in person but was represented by attorney Blair Berk, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault. Rolling Stone reported Thursday after reviewing court documents.
He received a sentence of one year of probation in addition to time served by Judge Ray Jurado, according to the outlet.
The Cleveland-born music artist in the case had been accused of surprise-hitting a Los Angeles homeowner named Gary Pagar, 68, in whose mansion he was filming a video, the outlet reported.
DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, was ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution for the incident and to stay at least 100 yards away from him, according to Rolling Stone.

DaBaby will not be allowed to “possess, purchase or sell any deadly weapons, including firearms” while on probation in connection with the plea deal.
The music artist had already served one day in jail in connection with his arrest in the 2021 incident, according to the outlet.
Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Heather Brel said her office opted to drop the charge of felony assault with serious bodily injury “due to evidentiary issues in proving serious bodily injury at trial,” according to Rolling Stone.
Kirk would have faced up to four years in prison if convicted of the felony.
During Thursday’s proceedings, the judge read a victim impact statement that Pagar had provided to the court in the case.
The Rockstar artist remains in litigation with Pagar, who sued him for assault, fraud and breach of contract in connection with the December 2, 2020 incident, in which Pagar says DaBaby assaulted him amid a dispute over a video being filmed at the house Pagar was renting from him.
Proceedings in that case are scheduled to go to trial in September, the outlet reported.
Pagar said in legal documents reviewed by the outlet that she initially rented her six-bedroom home to DaBaby during the midst of the coronavirus pandemic in November 2020.

Pagar said the lease stipulated that a maximum of 12 people could be in the premises at any one time.
Pagar told the court that Kirk violated the agreement by gathering 40 people at the venue to make a music video for the song Play U Lay, which also featured rapper Stunna 4 Vegas and Jake Paul.
Pagar said in legal documents that DaBaby and his associates turned off the home’s security cameras, at which point he said they could no longer film a “commercial” production on the premises.
Pagar told the court Kirk “punched him in the face, knocking out a tooth and leaving him bruised and bloody” when he arrived at the property to confront him about the broken agreement.
Pagar said DaBaby and his associates began “pushing, shoving, spitting, threatening and taunting him” in front of the house, “throwing” his phone and scratching his vehicle.
DaBaby said Pagar used racial slurs and spit on him when he showed up at the house. TMZ reported in 2022.
