Adobe Acrobat Reader vs Standard

Reader is a useful baseline when the job is reviewing, filling or signing a document that already exists. Adobe explicitly reserves existing-text and image editing for a paid Standard or Pro subscription. That difference matters more than a shared Acrobat name. If you only need to complete a supported form, check Reader’s saved output before assuming a subscription is necessary. If you must rewrite the original paragraph, a comment or free-text annotation will not meet the same acceptance check. Standard’s charge uses an annual commitment, and this comparison does not infer paid entitlements from a review of the free reader.
