Janey Godley has revealed she is “getting everything ready” and making sure she is “financially secure” for when she dies after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis in 2022.
The Scottish comedian, 63, appeared on Lorraine to talk about her upcoming tour and her documentary, which hits cinemas on March 15.
Janey explained that she doesn’t have a conventional bucket list, but that she “enjoys living each day” after being diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer two years ago.
“I don’t want to get up and climb a mountain; most days I just want to lie down in my pants and listen to a good murder podcast,” he told Lorraine.
He further joked: ‘Women love murder podcasts. It’s just so they can advise us how to escape.

While addressing the serious side of her diagnosis, the comedian said she is cleaning out her old possessions and making sure her children don’t inherit any debt from her when she passes away.
“I bought a car and paid for everything directly because I don’t want them to be in debt,” he told Lorraine.
‘When you deal with these things, you become financially good at trying to make everything safe.
‘So I’m getting rid of a lot of clothes, I’m getting rid of a lot of old things. The charity shop loves me.
‘I’m reducing everything and preparing everything so that when I go, it won’t be such a big trauma.
“And I think this is something we should talk about.”
“You’re absolutely right,” Lorraine responded. ‘You’ve encouraged people to have those conversations that we need to have.

“I actually really like the way you’re organizing yourself.”
Janey, who went viral for impersonating Nicola Sturgeon during lockdown, wasn’t sure she would be able to finish her Not Dead Yet tour.
However, he is now planning another tour, which will begin on March 16, along with a new book and a radio show.
Additionally, the documentary, which looks at the comedian’s terminal cancer diagnosis and his childhood in Glasgow, will be released in cinemas on March 15.
Janey explained that it was her daughter Ashley’s idea to film the tour.
“She said, ‘If this is going to be the last hurray, why don’t we put a camera in your face and document all of this?'” the comedian told Lorraine.
She continued: ‘Because that tour was going to be the last tour.
‘And of course I didn’t get there in time… so I’m still here, but she wanted to document it.’

Lorraine chuckled during Janey’s interview on the breakfast show.
Janey noted that the average person continues to work during a terminal cancer diagnosis.
“You’re doing all these amazing things that you were doing anyway in your career, so you keep working, doing what you love,” Lorraine noted.
He continued: “But a lot of people say, ‘Oh, I want a bucket list or I want to do this or I want to climb Everest,’ but really, it’s just about living. Or do you have a bucket list?”
“No, I have a pulley,” Janey responded, explaining that she instead enjoys “living every day.”
She went on to say that she is surrounded by friends and family and likes to take the dogs for long walks on the beach.
The comedian also admitted to going to Guiseppe’s cafe to consume large portions of cake.
“Now I’m leaning toward the hernia,” Janey joked.
‘Ashley says, “Wear maternity clothes and scare people and make them think, ‘Why is that old lady pregnant?'”
“Ashley and I laugh all the time.”
