Since they married in 2005, after years of intense public attention and even criticism, Charles and Camilla have been pillars of mutual support.
Now King and Queen, they are a couple who share a deep love that has been forged in adversity.
And that romance has often been on public display, whether it’s with a loving kiss, an arm around the shoulder, or even a pat on the butt.
Charles, who refers to Camilla as “my darling wife”, has relied more than ever on the Queen’s support this year as he continues his cancer treatment.

Camilla gently places her hand on Charles’s at a reception to mark Cardiff’s 50th anniversary as the capital and its centenary as a city, in July 2005. The ceremony took place just three months after the couple were married.
A guiding hand from Queen Camilla on the King’s back marked the end of the three-day state visit by Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan to the UK at the end of June this year.
