The comedian, 36, surprised his fans this week when he announced that he had welcomed a son with a mystery girlfriend.
Sharing a photo cradling the newborn, Joe’s friends and fans have now taken to the comments to share a series of sweet messages.
Sophie Ellis-Bexter wrote: ‘Congratulations!! Xxx’; Daisy May Cooper wrote: “OMG this is absolutely joyous.”
Carol Vorderman added: ‘Hooorayyyyyy there it is you two….all of you…..sending big love’; Traitors star Paul Gorton added: ‘Congratulations Dad!’

However, several fans have claimed that the comedian is pranking them with the baby news.
They wrote: ”I’m worried this will come off like he’s hugging a bunch of rhubarb in a hat, to be honest; Congratulations!! (unless it’s an elaborate prank, in which case, congratulations!)’
‘I want to congratulate you, really, but I’m a little worried that you wrapped a jacket potato; I never know what’s real and what’s not when Lycett is involved.
In April, Joe revealed that he was dating, having previously admitted that “people assume I’m gay because of my whole personality.”
However, he has used the term bisexual to describe his sexuality in the past because he “struggled to explain his feelings” and that “was easier.”
Joe has remained very secretive about his love life, rarely giving out information and also using a fake name for his partner in a bid to keep his identity a secret.
The TV personality announced she was in a new relationship and opened up about her sexuality during the new series of Late Night Lycett on Channel 4.
Speaking on the show in April, he revealed to viewers that he had a mystery girlfriend, having previously said he struggles to explain his sexuality.
Joe explained: “A lot of things have changed since the last series, I have some news and that is that I have a girlfriend.”
“I’ve talked about being bisexual for years, but people assume I’m gay based on my whole personality…yeah, I have a girlfriend and people have been really nice about it.”

Adding the Bimini Bon-Boulash Podcast The PiecesJoe gave a rare insight into his love life when he opened up about using a fake name for his partner in a bid to keep his identity a secret.
He said: ‘So I’ve got Winston the cat and my partner Denise. And her name isn’t Denise, but I’m not talking about her because she has a job and can’t be in the public eye.
“I call her Denise because she hates the name Denise, so I live with Denise.”
Joe, who has spoken openly about his sexuality in the past, later spoke to former Ru Paul’s Drag Race star about being pansexual.
He shared: ‘Well, it’s interesting now to be in a long-term relationship with a woman because a lot of people are like, sorry, what?
Joe continued, “There was a brief period when I was in school where I thought that because I was attracted to men, I was gay, and then I thought, wait, wait, wait.”
‘Then I use the term bisexual when someone asks me and I just want to give a quick answer because people understand it.
“But I think the most accurate way to describe myself is pansexual, in the sense that I’m not attracted to people, just because of their gender.”
Joe went on to say that he sometimes has a hard time explaining his sexuality, adding, “I also don’t really know how it works because, I don’t know, how does it work?” I mean, I don’t know how it works in terms of explaining it to idiots.

‘Because it’s hard to say, well, no, sometimes I’m attracted to men, but not all of them. And it usually has nothing to do with the fact that they are men.
‘It’s often like a good torso is enough, you know? The little abs. Yes, that’s all. The lines. The torso is dangerous. A beautiful arm.
‘Yes, it doesn’t matter the gender or whatever. And I don’t know why it is like that, but it is. It’s strange because to me that suggests that sexuality is not just about men and women.
‘So my intellectual side says he’s pansexual, which means everything. So, that’s how I feel about myself.’
On Friday, Joe revealed that he had become a father for the first time when he shared a sweet photo of himself cradling his newborn son on Instagram.
Alongside the image, Joe wrote on Instagram: ‘A thank you post from me for the extraordinary @bham_womens hospital.
‘My first encounter with them was years ago when they cared for a friend of mine during surgery, and then more recently when they masterfully welcomed a little boy into the world, who turns out to be my son.
‘The care and compassion he and his mother received were exceptional; from prenatal classes, amazing midwives, consultants, doctors, nurses and continuing care in the community. We also loved their roast potatoes. Birmingham is very lucky to have them and I will always be grateful for everything they have done.
‘I LOVE being a dad, but unfortunately I think this now means I can’t stop being on Rob and Josh’s fucking podcast. We will not accept any press requests regarding this, as we have already sold the rights to the first family photograph to Autotrader.’
