Carly Pearce revealed she was diagnosed with a heart condition called pericarditis.
The 34-year-old country singer, who attended the CMT Awards in April, opened up to her fans on social media on Thursday and announced a “health update” in an Instagram caption.
Speaking directly to her 808,000 followers, she detailed the diagnosis in a video clip, adding: “I love you all.”
He noted that he will continue performing, but will need to track his heart rate while on stage.
Mayo Clinic describes pericarditis as “swelling and irritation of the thin, sac-like tissue surrounding the heart” that “often causes sharp chest pain.”

Carly opened the video by saying, “Hey everyone, I’ve always been transparent and honest in every aspect of my life, so I feel like this deserves the same honesty.”
“You guys know I’ve been dealing with some health issues and through that I’ve developed something called pericarditis, which is a heart issue, and I’ve been working with doctors and talking to my cardiologist and I still want to be on the path.
She continued in the candid recording: “We’ve all decided that the best thing for me, while I’m recovering, is to alter my shows a little.”
‘So if my shows look a little different, know that it’s because I have to keep my heart rate under control right now. And that doesn’t mean it won’t be completely fine, it just means that right now I have to take this seriously.’
The star assured fans: “If you come to the shows, if you’re going to be a part of any of the wonderful things we’re doing with (my album) Hummingbird, it’s going to be great.”
“It may seem a little different, so I ask for a little grace,” he added humbly.
Pearce then advised: “And truly, most importantly, whether any of you are dealing with any kind of health issue, or not, I’m a young, healthy person who really watches what I eat and exercises, and this makes me happy.” moved on to Me: I just want to use my platform to tell you to take care of your body and listen to it.

He is currently opening for Tim McGraw on his Standing Room Only tour, which runs through the end of June.
Their album Hummingbird is scheduled to be released on June 7.
