Robert Irwin reveals he has dreamed of hosting I’m A Celebrity since guest appearance at age ten: ‘It was always in my mind’

Robert Irwin has revealed that hosting I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia has been a dream of his since childhood.

The Wildlife Warrior first appeared on the show as a special guest at age ten, and that experience never left his mind.

“After I did the show, I looked at that whole big set, I looked at everything, and I saw (hosts) Julia (Morris) and Chris (Brown) and I thought, ‘Can you ever imagine hosting this?’ said the 20-year-old. Perth now.

“I remember over the years having something to do with Julia here and there, and she was always on my mind. I became a real fan of the show and enjoyed watching it.”

He added: “So after all those years, to be asked to be a part of this show, it was such a serendipitous coming full circle moment.” And to be honest, I jumped at the chance and didn’t hesitate.’

Robert made his debut on Sunday’s episode of the reality show alongside Julia Morris and social media users went crazy over him.

‘Robert Irwin, how absolutely natural. They couldn’t have found a better replacement if they had tried. Looking forward to this season,” one person wrote on X.
