Bruce Lehrmann fled his new accommodation after his housemate complained that his move had “ruined his life”, loading his car with his belongings.
Paul Farrell offered Lehrmann a place to stay when his one-year contract with Channel Seven ended for a $2,000-a-week property on Sydney’s northern beaches.
Farrell, 48, told WhatsNew2Day Australia he thought he was simply “helping out a mate” when he offered his spare room in his North Sydney rental to Mr Lehrmann.
“I’m renting this place and I had a spare room… but it basically ruined my life with all the photographers and journalists hanging around.”
WhatsNew2Day Australia understands Mr Lehrmann is now Couchsurfing and last night stayed at the home of a Sydney socialite, in another part of the city.
Bruce Lehrmann recently moved into a friend’s rental house in North Sydney, but the wild parties caused a bad smell in the neighborhood and now he’s Couchsurfing.
The back of Mr Lehrmann’s car was packed with his belongings on the street elsewhere in Sydney, including plenty of towels and food such as Ritz crackers.
Lehrmann’s housemate Paul Farrell is pictured outside the rented apartment in North Sydney on Thursday. He said Mr. Lehrmann’s arrival “basically ruined” his life.
Mr Lehrmann’s car was seen elsewhere in the city with all his worldly possessions in the back seat, including stacks of towels, Woolworths freezer bags and Ritz crackers.
Neighbors previously told WhatsNew2Day Australia of their deep frustration with the parties that have taken place at the North Sydney home over the past three weeks.
Only on Thursday a friend of Mr. Lehrmann arrived with a case of alcohol and his companions made two trips to the bottle shop.
Neighbors claimed that in recent weeks Lehrmann’s co-workers had been “screaming” the lyrics to Tina Turner songs, swearing at all hours and talking outside into the early hours of the morning.
“It’s not loud music, it’s mostly choir music with the girls screaming and yelling to Tina Turner,” said one neighbor.
“They’re constantly saying bad words, it’s ‘Fuck this’ and ‘Fuck that.'”
Another neighbor accused guests of parking on the sidewalk and across driveways, which she said “is selfish for parents pushing strollers.”
“It’s quite intrusive because they already have a two-car garage to park in,” they said.

Mr. Lehrmann’s week of partying began on Tuesday night when he was seen in a burgundy jacket, flanked by two glamorous women, outside his home, moments after a new trial date was set in his blockbuster murder case. defamation.
The trio charged through the rain and jumped into the back of an Uber, one of which was holding a can of alcohol.
The spree continued on Wednesday when another group of women entered the same property, including a blonde who previously appeared barefoot with a vaporizer on the balcony of her former home in Balgowlah.
On Wednesday, she wore a black dress with a thigh-high slit and black stiletto heels, as she juggled car keys, a phone, a bottle of Hendrick’s gin and a half-drunk bottle of whiskey.
And on Thursday, shortly after noon, another crowd shuffled into the house with cases of alcohol.
WhatsNew2Day Australia understands that most of Thursday’s visitors were friends of Mr Farrell and that, despite the festivities, the property never received a noise complaint.
Mr. Lehrmann has been contacted for comment.
In just four days’ time, Federal Court Judge Michael Lee will hand down his ruling in Mr Lehrmann’s defamation case against Network Ten and Lisa Wilkinson.
She launched defamation proceedings over an episode of The Project in February 2021, during which Brittany Higgins first went public with her rape allegations in an interview with Wilkinson.
Higgins alleged Lehrmann raped her in Parliament in March 2019, when they were both Liberal Party employees.
He was not named in the broadcast, but claimed that friends and colleagues were able to identify him as the alleged rapist. He has always maintained his innocence.
The month-long trial was held in December. The trial is scheduled for Monday at 10:15 a.m.
