Brittany Cartwright has broken her silence on social media following her shocking divorce filing from Jax Taylor on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old Vanderpump Rules star, who has been married to Taylor, 45, since 2019, shared a glamorous snap as she steps towards her marriage.
The star was dressed in hot pink and sported glamorous makeup in the snap, which was captioned: “Getting my glow back.”
Brittany cited irreconcilable differences as her reason for ending the marriage.
DailyMail.com has reached out to a representative for Cartwright and NBCUniversal, Bravo’s parent company, for comment.

The couple, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony that aired on Vanderpump Rules, share a three-year-old son, Cruz. Brittany has requested primary physical and legal custody of the child, but is open to her ex having visitation rights.
Additionally, Cartwright seeks to block the court’s ability to award spousal support to either of them.
Cartwright cited their separation date as January 24.
The filing comes days after Taylor left a mental health facility. A representative for Taylor previously told We weekly I was scheduled to leave last week.
Cartwright and Taylor married in 2019, but split last February.
The couple’s early romance was chronicled on the Bravo series Vanderpump Rules and the breakup of their marriage was captured on the spin-off, The Valley, with Cartwright revealing that she had moved out of their marital residence with their son Cruz.
“There’s been a lot going on between Jax and I,” Brittany said in a confessional. “We had already been having issues all summer, but once the cameras stopped rolling, things seemed to just get worse and worse.”
“About six weeks ago I split up with Jax. I moved into an Airbnb with Cruz because Jax didn’t want to leave the house,” she said at the end.
Brittany said Jax’s failure to move out showed his selfishness. Brittany said she left with her three-year-old son, Cruz, because the situation at home was toxic. Brittany said Jax would come home hungover and in the morning he would be “mean as a snake.”
“I got to a point where I started to realize everything that it did to me,” Brittany said. “It was like a ton of bricks had fallen on me.”
Brittany said that during their relationship Jax cheated on her, disrespected her and humiliated her.
“I’ve been through a lot of pain in this relationship,” Brittany said. “I can’t take it anymore.”

The couple’s early romance was chronicled on the Bravo series Vanderpump Rules and the breakup of their marriage was captured on the spin-off, The Valley.
Following their split, Brittany revealed the real reason why they split, telling DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview that they had been having problems in their marriage for years.
She explained how the birth of her first child Cruz in 2021 made her reevaluate her marriage to the controversial Vanderpump Rules villain.
“For me, it was like coming into my own. Having a child really woke me up and made me see a little bit of what I deserve and what I’m going to have to endure for the rest of my life,” she said.
“And I knew I had to figure out what I wanted to do for my future and make sure my son had a very positive life situation. That’s all I care about.”
Cartwright also shared in April that her “sexless marriage” to Jax caused her to reach her “breaking point” and admitted they had discussed dating other people amid the split, saying, “I don’t want to be unhappy for the rest of my life.”
In an interview with We weekly, The Vanderpump Rules alum said her sex life with Taylor had “decreased a lot” in recent years and that it started to affect her self-esteem.
Cartwright and Taylor, pictured in April 2024 at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, split last February.
“I felt like I wasn’t good enough. If you start to feel like your partner doesn’t love you and is also mean to you, you think, ‘What am I doing here?’ I’m basically living with a roommate. I’ve reached my breaking point,” she explained.
When she tried to talk to Taylor about her lack of sex, Cartwright claimed she would tell her “I’m 44 and I’m tired,” a response that wasn’t enough for her.
Brittany also admitted that the couple went through financial difficulties when they were fired from Vanderpump Rules in 2020, which contributed to the fracture of their marriage.
“It was definitely a difficult time in our relationship,” she confessed.
“It was like a change of direction and I became the breadwinner of the family because I was still working, doing commercials and deals with different brands,” he continued.
“I was incredibly lucky to have all that happen to me, but Jax wasn’t. So it was a huge change in our relationship that took its toll on us for a while.”
Last month, on an episode of his podcast alongside Cartwright, When Reality Hits, Jax revealed that he and Cartwright were still “trying to exhaust everything” before considering a divorce.
The former couple tied the knot at Kentucky Castle in Cartwright’s home state in June 2019.
In 2021 they welcomed their son Cruz
“I’m not dating anyone, I repeat, I’m not dating anyone. I was seen dating someone and it was just lunch. Obviously, Brittany and I are separated and we have been for a long time. What we’re going through right now is difficult. Marriage is not easy,” he explained.
The bar owner continued: “We’re trying to figure out a lot of different things: therapy, separation and maybe, possibly, dating other people.”
“We’re trying to exhaust everything before we have to get divorced, if that’s the case,” she told listeners. “Part of taking time apart means exploring other people. Every marriage is different, but this is what’s good for our marriage.”
Brittany previously reconciled with Jax in 2017 after it was revealed that he had cheated on her with her co-star Faith Stowers.
She said she “supported him” during his tumultuous times, but that the continued fighting in front of their young son was the final straw for them to split.
Brittany and Jax began dating in 2015, two years before he admitted to his infidelity.
But they stayed together and got engaged in 2018, married at Kentucky Castle in Cartwright’s home state in June 2019 and welcomed son Cruz in 2021.
Jax and Brittany currently star in the Vanderpump Rules spin-off, The Valley.
The drama series follows the couple, as well as Kristen Doute and other members of their group of friends, as they navigate married life and parenthood in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.
