Avengers! Arm! Recording a terribly uncomfortable video supporting Kamala Harris.
Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Danai Gurira, Don Cheadle and Paul Bettany released a half-cringe, half-comedy collaboration.
The stars of the Marvel series ‘The Avengers’ wanted to make their political support for the Democrat known just before the elections.
In the nearly two-minute video, Hollywood actors discuss how to come up with a new slogan for Harris and ultimately settle on a deliberately ill-conceived one: “Down with democracy.”
The comedy season didn’t seem to do well and social media users mercilessly attacked the obviously scripted political stunt immediately.

“The cast of the Avengers, who now appear to be terminally ill… say ‘down with democracy’ and ‘tear down democracy’ in support of Kamala,” comedian Tim Youg wrote in X.
“This isn’t working the way they intended.”
“This gave me a lot of second-hand embarrassment,” posted X user Dr. Sydney Watson.
Another girl, Blaire White, wrote: “Oh look, people who are literally paid to lie have thoughts about our upcoming election.”
“Chris Evans, you are Captain America, not Captain Communist… Beyond sad,” another story said.
—It seems we know what the situation is in Hollywood. “This is disgraceful, untrue and disgraceful,” wrote another.

The video begins with Johansson: ‘Hey guys. ‘Hello Avengers!’
‘Woah, woah, woah, I think you mean get together!’ Cheadle jokes lamely.
After some clearly scripted exchanges between the actors, the group begins brainstorming ideas for a slogan for Kamala Harris.
After all, Robert Downey Jr., aka Iron Man, suggested it.
Later, the actor who plays the voice of the robot JARVIS in the series, Paul Bettany, comes up with a brilliant idea.
Many of the stars talked to each other during filming.

“What if I agree with democracy?” he suggests. “It’s just clean and simple.”
After some banter between the stars, they start joking about Kamala Harris being “down with democracy.”
Mark Ruffalo, Hulk, then chimes in, noting that the line sounds a little out of place.
“I don’t know if that sounds like we want it to sound,” he requests.
The stars continue to joke around with the phrase before the video ends telling the audience to vote in the November 5 election.
Chris Evans made a cameo
Cheadle also began leading chants.
The bizarre video with stars endorsing Harris days before the election is just the latest group of celebrities to support the Democratic campaign.
Recently, Harris has made stops with Beyonce and Bruce Springsteen.
Megastar Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez have also endorsed Harris.
