Australian Shore star Catia Sinigaglia has revealed she was a “super” Jersey Shore fan growing up and thought its X-rated spin-off couldn’t compete.
The personal trainer, 23, took to TikTok over the weekend to give her “honest opinion” about the Down Under version of the franchise.
Lying on her bed in last night’s makeup, Catia said she and the cast of Aussie Shore were “authentic” throughout the debut season.
“I just want to say that I’ve been a Shore super fan since I was 10,” she began her video.
“So when I found out they were doing an Aussie Shore, I thought, ‘There’s no way. “You can’t compete with the OGs.”
‘The Meatballs, the Situation, (DJ) Pauly D, like, honestly, icons. So I personally don’t think we’re trying to compete with them. We are very different.
‘Times have changed, so we are completely different. But we were ourselves.”
He added: “So please try to be kind because we were just being ourselves, and if you hate us, then I love you more.”

Catia, a self-proclaimed ‘Hot Mess’ and shameless flirt, is one of 11 housemates on Aussie Shore, which was filmed in Cairns, Queensland.
Co-stars include I’m A Celebrity and Love Island star Callum Hole, who recently admitted he was shocked by what happened in the house during filming.
Based on the Geordie Shore franchise, the Paramount+ series has been called “Australian television’s X-rated show”.
The Love Island alum told The Project on Friday night that he had never experienced anything like it.
‘Oh, it’s been absolutely crazy. From the moment I walked in, I was amazed at how wild these Aussies were,” the 26-year-old Welsh star said.
“Honestly, it’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before.”
Callum said the cast were fueled by 12-hour drinking sessions and general anarchy in the process.

‘What’s the word they use in Australia? Rogue? Do they go rogue? That’s what it was. “As soon as you wake up in the morning, it doesn’t matter if there’s alcohol involved or not, it’s all go, go, go, from start to finish,” he explained.
‘It’s not like any other reality show I’ve done in the sense that it’s not like a game show. There is no element of competition. There’s no pressure in the back of your head to, you know, perform well or worry about the public eliminating you.
‘Literally, you wake up in the morning and Charlotte Crosby, Our boss, a Geordie Shore veteran, will walk in and say: “You’re at a boat party tonight. You’ve got half an hour to get ready.”
“And we start drinking, and we probably drink for the next 12 hours, and it gets wilder as the night goes on.”

The series has already surprised viewers by showing explicit sex scenes, full frontal nudity and a shocking ‘penis transplant’.
Aussie Shore is the latest version of the successful Jersey and Geordie Shore franchises made famous in the US and UK.
The boozy party series, filmed in Cairns, Queensland, began with some of the most graphic scenes seen in television history Down Under.
Aussie Shore will see the housemates take on various jobs around the city, under the direction of ‘head of the house’ Charlotte, 34, while having fun in their spare time.
Aussie Shore is now streaming on Paramount+ with new episodes on Thursdays.
