Ariana DeBose will once again host the Tony Awards.
It was announced Wednesday that the Oscar-winning actress will host the 77th annual Tony Awards in New York City.
This will be the third time he has headlined the show that awards the best stage shows.
“I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to host the Tonys once again at Lincoln Center. “I’m excited to collaborate with the team to create an incredible celebration of this season’s achievements on Broadway for our community and everyone back home “DeBose said.
The event will take place on June 16 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

The show will air on the CBS Television Network and on Paramount+ in the US.
Nominations for the 2024 Tony Awards will be announced on Tuesday, April 30.
DeBose will also serve as producer and choreographer for the opening number of this year’s show.
DeBose hosted the 76th and 75th Tony Awards.

The 77th celebration will recognize all award categories and honor the incredible art of the 2023-2024 season.
DeBose performs at the 75th Annual Tony Awards in 2022, at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
The Tony Awards, which honor theater professionals for distinguished achievements on Broadway, are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theater Wing and have aired on CBS since 1978.
DeBose is best known for her groundbreaking performance in Steven Spielberg’s reimagining of West Side Story, for which she received an Academy Award, a BAFTA, a Critics Choice, and a SAG Award for her role as Anita.
By winning her Oscar, she became the first openly queer Afro-Latina to win an Academy Award.
Most recently, DeBose starred in the films Argylle and Wish.
Upcoming films include Kraven the Hunter and House of Spoils.
In addition, she will be executive producer and star of ‘Two and Only’.

She played Asha opposite Chris Pine’s Magnificent King in Wish.
DeBose had a prominent role in Schmigadoon! and received critical acclaim for his performance in the adaptation of the hit Broadway musical The Prom.
On stage, DeBose is best known for her role as ‘Disco Donna’ in ‘Summer: The Donna Summer Musical’, which earned her a 2018 Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, a Drama Award nomination League for ‘Distinguished Performance’ and earned her the Chita Rivera Award for Best Dancer in a Broadway Show.
In 2015, DeBose appeared in the Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton, as a member of the original cast in both Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, as well as the Emmy Award-winning film version.
Her additional theater credits include the role of Jane in the original Broadway cast of ‘A Bronx Tale’, ‘Pippin’, ‘Motown The Musical’, ‘Bring It On: The Musical’ and ‘Company’. Her television credits include ‘Blue Bloods’ on the Network, ‘The Breaks’, the OLTL series ‘Star Crossed Lovers’ and season 6 of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, where she placed in the top 20 finalists.
