American Idol contestant Will Moseley has been branded “disgusting” over a horrifying hunting video showing four dogs attacking a terrified wild pig.
Georgia-born Moseley, 23, a Top 8 finalist on the current season of Idol, came under fire after an Instagram video from 2022 resurfaced showing him hunting a pig that had become trapped in a riverbed.
In the disturbing clip, four dogs attack the trembling pig and bite it as it tries to defend itself.
Moseley also shared a photo of himself, his father, and his girlfriend smiling as they pose with a dead pig, which appears to be the same animal in the video.
She captioned the post: “Those good January baths.”

Fans quickly took to the comments section to criticize Moseley’s cruel actions. with a writing: ‘Disgusting abuse towards animals. I was a fan… for about 30 minutes until I saw this.’
Others wrote: ‘This is the most horrible thing I have ever seen. “I saw you on @americanidol tonight, but I’m not sure I can be a fan of this.”
‘I hope you don’t win, this is disgusting’ and ‘Okay!! Lost a fan. Nauseating.’
Under Georgia hunting law, feral hogs can be hunted on private lands with permission, as well as on public lands such as national forest lands and wildlife management areas.
A representative from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division told TMZ: “Hunting of feral hogs, an invasive species, is permitted on private lands and, when and where designated, on some public lands in Georgia.
‘Where designated, dogs may be used to hunt feral pigs. There are no restrictions on that use except on public lands.’
Moseley’s social media is full of him and his loved ones posing with dead animals they’ve hunted.
On Sunday, Moseley secured his spot in the top 8 after performing Travis Tritt’s Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde.
Moseley also shared a photo of himself, his father, and his girlfriend smiling as they pose with a dead pig, which appears to be the same animal in the video.
The pig is seen trying to defend itself before the attack, which Moseley filmed.

Last week Moseley of Hazlehurst, Georgia, chose Chris Stapleton’s hit Starting Over.
Meghan Trainor gave him a couple of criticisms in rehearsals and encouraged him to smile more.
“What I love about that performance in particular is that you went from 0 to 100 in less than two seconds,” Lionel Richie said when he finished. “By the way, you did an amazing job.”
