An adorable little girl who has just discovered her own shadow has left her family in hysterics after trying to run away from it.
Elliana Tsegaye from New Hampshire, USA, was caught on camera noticing her shadow for the first time and hilariously tried to escape its presence.
Taking TikTok @theafrolatinfamilia The girl’s parents saw the funny side of their daughter’s new fear and shared the clip online, where it has racked up 7.6 million views.
The clip shows the two-year-old seeing her own shadow for the first time, and immediately trying to run and hide from it.
When the frightened little girl couldn’t get rid of the dark figure, she immediately fell to the ground and burst into tears.

Ellie’s father can be heard comforting his daughter, telling her: “It’s okay, it’s your shadow, it’s just you.”
The girl got up again and tried to escape again, but her shadow remained on her tail.
The little girl’s mother picked her up and tried to explain, “Okay, look, look at Mommy and look at Ellie,” while pointing to their shadows.
However, even though they tried to explain it, the adorable child still didn’t understand and still seemed to be terrified by the dark figure.
Elsewhere in the clip, it appears that Ellie continued to be afraid of her shadow for several weeks.
They captioned the video: ‘Ellie discovered her shadow and is now terrified of it.’
Many were quick to comment hysterically on the little girl, with some saying they totally understood why she would be scared.

The playful youngster threw her hands in the air after seeing the black figure on Thursday and was shocked to see that she was copying it.
The little girl squealed and walked around, all the while staring at her shadow. To add to the tension of the confrontation, 18-month-old Kayla lifted up her denim dress when she saw the silhouette.
The sweet clip was posted by Kayla’s mum in her sunny back garden in Penarth, a town in Glamorgan, Wales.
She wrote alongside it: ‘Our 18 month old daughter notices her shadow for the first time on a sunny spring morning.
‘It captures the innocence of childhood, a true first experience that encapsulates the wonders of life.’
