Over the weekend, Adele and Celine went viral when they shared a teary-eyed hug during their Las Vegas residency.

Celine made Adele cry when she made a surprise appearance at her show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Adele revealed why she got so excited performing in front of Celine over the weekend as she shared a snap on her Instagram.

‘I’ve been performing in Celine Dion’s room at the Coliseum for almost two years. 4 weeks left! “It was the only place she wanted to play in Vegas because it was built for her,” she captioned the image.

The 16-time Grammy winner revealed that she keeps a photo of Dion “right next to the stage” and touches it “every night before” she goes on stage.

This made Celine’s “surprise” attendance even more special for the mother of one, who has long admired the music icon.

‘It was a MOMENT!!’ Adele said about seeing the star in the audience. ‘@celinedion I love you so much. Words will never sum up what you mean to me, or what it means for you to come to my show, let alone how I felt seeing you back in your palace with your beautiful family.’

The Hello hitmaker concluded: “I loved being there, it was a great honor and Saturday night will be something I will remember forever and ever.” It’s a full circle moment for me to be there with you. Thank you very much .’

In images shared online from the show, Adele and Céline embraced before the English singer returned to the floor and told the audience: “Leave it for Ms. Céline Dion.”

An emotional Céline could be seen wiping her eyes with a tissue before standing up and greeting the audience as Adele continued singing her hit When We Were Young.

In another clip, Adele praised Céline as “one of my favorite people of all time” while pointing out the superstar singer in the audience.

The Rolling In The Deep hitmaker has expressed her love for Céline over the years, hailing her as ‘Queen Céline’ after attending one of her performances in an Instagram post in 2018.

Adele returned to the Colosseum this weekend to continue her residency after taking a break to perform a series of shows in Munich at a purpose-built open-air stadium.

Weekends With Adele launched at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in November 2022 and will conclude in November of this year.

His series of sold-out shows at the venue, which seats about 4,000 people, has been a success, but it has also taken its toll.

In July, he announced that he would be taking a “big break” from music after his string of upcoming shows.

Meanwhile, Céline made a triumphant return to live singing this summer to close the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics amid her battle with stiff person syndrome (SPS).

He has spoken candidly about SPS and revealed his diagnosis in December 2022 after canceling his 2021 Las Vegas residency due to health concerns.

The condition is a rare autoimmune neurological disorder that commonly causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms, according to the Johns Hopkins Medicine website.

In March 2003, Céline launched her first residency at The Colosseum, performing 717 shows through December 2007.

It returned to the venue for its second season in March 2011 and performed 424 shows before concluding in June 2019.
