Ada Nicodemou has revealed how her Home and Away co-stars discovered her off-screen relationship with James Stewart.
The soap stars, whose characters are married on the Channel Seven show, were first linked earlier this year when they were spotted kissing on Anzac Day before Ada confirmed their romance in a magazine interview.
Speaking at Mamamia’s No filter On the podcast, the 47-year-old actress revealed that she had only told a small group of people she was “close” with on set before “word spread” about the couple’s off-screen relationship.
“I thought I didn’t need to tell anyone else,” he explained.
“We didn’t need a group email, people just worked it out.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Ada admitted that her growing feelings towards her TV co-star James, 48, were “weird” at first.
‘Jimmy and I have known each other for 25 or 30 years and we didn’t have feelings for a long, long time. So I was surprised when I started having feelings,” he said.
“There was this chemistry for the first time, this spark that came out that wasn’t there before and it was strange.”

In July, Ada finally broke her silence about her romance with James after months of speculation.
The lovebirds were first linked earlier this year when they were spotted kissing on Anzac Day.
It has since been claimed that things are getting serious between the couple and that they are considering moving in together, but they have remained tight-lipped about their romance.
Ada confirmed she was dating her former co-star James in a magazine interview and described their romance as “unexpected”.
‘Jimmy and I are together, yes. It’s just the first days. It is very recent and unexpected. I’m super happy. “It’s really lovely,” she told Stellar Magazine.
But she insisted her Home And Away characters, Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan, getting married on screen was not an early sign of their real-life romance.
The couple began dating after Ada split from ex-partner Adam Rigby just before Christmas last year and James finalized his divorce from Sarah Roberts in March.
