The house in Little River is one of six in a neighborhood between two homeowners associations.

Millions of TikTok users are eagerly awaiting the next post from a South Carolina mother who has filled her yard with signs, flags and decorations to provoke two powerful homeowners associations she says are harassing her.

Anne Marie’s Little River home is one of six on a piece of land sandwiched between the Carolina Crossing and Waccamaw Management homeowners associations, but is not controlled by either.

She claims she has been bullied over minor issues by homeowners associations, their directors and neighbors since she moved in, but has now received anonymous death threats from an unknown source over the state of her lawn.

“A lot of people in the neighborhood thought it was really funny and even tried to contribute,” she wrote on TikTok.

‘There are people in both homeowners’ associations who are quite angry about this.’

The owner who posts under the tag Sincerely yours Annemariereveals that things escalated when he put his caravan on the lawn in late June.

“Long story short, I took my RV out of storage to get repairs done,” she told her followers. “We hadn’t even been here 24 hours before our lovely neighbors at the homeowners association called the county to report us.”

“Of course, they said it was okay for him to stay, but this is not the first time the county has come to us for harassing calls from the Homeowners Association.”

Within days, he had begun adding to his yard’s assortment of curiosities: a flock of 10 plastic flamingos, a toy bulldog in a bondage suit raising its paw, and a Pride flag.

A kiddie pool, a grill and a “redneck dreamcatcher” made from a wooden wreath, beer cans and panties soon followed, along with a homemade sign that read “Proudly No HOA.”

Since then, flags supporting Donald Trump and Joe Biden have been hung side by side on her porch and a family of garden gnomes has been installed on the lawn.

“I got death threats on my answering machine and we tried to get a restraining order, but that in itself was a complete disaster,” she revealed.

Little River is located in Horry County, which was responsible for nearly a quarter of all homeowners association complaints in South Carolina last year, according to the News from the sun.

And Marie’s colorful protest has won a lot of support from supporters who feel they are victims of the HOA’s excesses.

“We were the first house outside the homeowners association,” wrote one. “We received many ‘calls’ about our unapproved fence, year-round pool, fire pit and trampoline.

“All my neighbors have deed restrictions prohibiting them from having farm animals and a bunch of other things,” added another. “We have 13 chickens, including a rooster.”

But Marie has also faced a torrent of criticism from people who consider her an entitled and antisocial person.

“This is very strange behavior. I can’t imagine causing trouble in my neighborhood on purpose,” one wrote.

“Is it weird to respond to people who think they’re going to harass me until I do what they want with my property?” he replied. “In what world? Plus, most of the neighborhood loves this.”

“This is bizarre and people like you are the reason our world is falling apart,” another said.

“People who know their rights and exercise them?” she replied. “I am sure that this is shattering their worldview. A world where offended feelings do not prevail over rights.”

Local news channel What the hell is going on? She couldn’t find any critics willing to appear on camera, but neighbor Maria Morales suggested Marie could ease tensions by talking to them more than on TikTok.

“That trailer was moved there recently about a week or maybe two weeks ago, but other than that they don’t really talk to anyone,” he added.

‘I mean, technically, they don’t have a homeowners association, so I guess they have their own opinion on what they do with their house.’

Marie’s latest video has attracted 2.2 million views and a sign in her garden now thanks objectors for their “concern for my trailer”.

“So far, no mandatory date has been set for its elimination,” he reveals.

“I’m starting to get some things ready for the day,” he wrote recently. “I thought we’d start slow and build up, but I already have two ideas and a million more to go.”

And she seems determined to enjoy her decorative disobedience.

“This was all, at the end of the day, a lot of fun and a demonstration that no one is going to take away our rights to our property and what we’re going to do with it,” he said.
