Tracy Grimshaw has made a shocking confession about her bad habits, and it’s all thanks to her new show.

The former A Current Affair presenter examined her own health in her new series Do You Want to Live Forever? and she admitted that she consumes more alcohol than she previously thought.

Appearing on her old show A Current Affair on Friday, the TV presenter admitted: “I think I’ve discovered I’m a compulsive drinker.”

‘I thought in recent years I only drink maybe one or two days a week, that’s not much. Five days my liver rests,” she continued.

“But that’s actually not good enough because if you go out and belt on a Saturday night, you’re actually a binge drinker, you’re not a moderate drinker.”

“So I’ve kept that in mind,” Tracy added.

The new show will examine the secrets of longevity and, as a result, Tracy herself has been inspired to change some of her habits.

The health and science documentary series will also star Dr Nick Coatsworth as he guides six Australians on a powerful journey to stop the clock and go back in time.

It comes after Tracy bravely showed viewers what she will look like when she is older.

'I really only drink maybe one or two days a week. Five days my liver rests,” she continued.

Throughout the effect, she is eventually shown with gray hair, deep wrinkles, and a sagging jowl.

Tracy admitted in the clip that she fears growing older and becoming “fragile,” as well as losing mental strength.

The TV veteran’s next TV project after leaving A Current Affair was confirmed earlier this year.

Tracy stepped away from ACA in 2022 and former Today co-host Ally Langdon has filled her role since January last year.

Langdon revealed that Grimshaw, who ran the show for 17 years, gave him valuable advice.

“I spoke to Trace a lot before the presenter’s announcement and remember a conversation we had while she was driving before her last show,” he told The Herald Sun.

‘She told me to listen to the ACA audience; “They’re smart, they know what they’re talking about, but they find their own way and they’re authentic,” Allison explained.
