Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was the victim of a shooting Saturday night, according to the equipment.
The 24-year-old suffered a “minor” injury after an incident in Sanford, Florida, before being released from the hospital.
The team said Dell is in “good spirits” after the ordeal.
“We are in contact with him and his family and will provide further updates when appropriate, but we ask that you respect their privacy at this time,” the team wrote in a statement posted on X.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.”

As reported by, FOX35 In Orlando, a 16-year-old boy is in custody for the apparent shooting.
Ten people were reportedly shot during a live event in Cabana, the station said, citing the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
