Ryan Garcia wore his $1 million silver crown as he came out to face Devin Haney at the Barclays Center.
Ahead of the April 20 fight, a video of Garcia seeing and trying on the crown for the first time gained traction on social media.
The crown from Texas-based jeweler The Ice Champ, is made from a kilo of gold and more than 400 carats of diamonds and gemstones. The Ice Champion also stated that the piece took ten days to create.
Throughout the buildup, fans have become concerned about Garcia’s well-being as his social media activity continually becomes concerning. Garcia previously made a cryptic post claiming that he had been murdered and claimed that he was tied up by “the elites” at Bohemian Grove.
Garcia’s strange speeches continued when he claimed that an earthquake would “destroy” Hollywood and Las Vegas. He also labeled Elon Musk as the Antichrist.

Fight week was far from uneventful when Haney shoved Garcia during a confrontation atop the Empire State Building. After the altercation, Garcia said that she “identifies as a woman,” making Haney’s act a hate crime.
Later that day, Garcia ranted about “exposing” the New York Mets after he was ejected from Citi Field, where he was supposed to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Entering Saturday, Garcia has a record of 24-1, including 20 knockouts. After suffering his only loss to Gervonta Davis in April 2023, Garcia bounced back with a knockout victory over Oscar Duarte in December.
On the other hand, Haney was undefeated with a record of 31-0 in 15 finals. Haney is coming off four consecutive big wins: two against George Kambosos Jr. in 2022 and a victory over Visiliy Lomachnko and Regis Prograis in 2023.
Garcia missed weight by three pounds, making him ineligible to win the WBC championship.
Heading into Saturday’s fight, Garcia has a record of 24-1, including 20 knockouts.
Haney and Garcia fought six times as amateurs and went 3-3 before finally meeting in the professional ranks.
With many questioning his preparation and concentration due to his antics, Garcia turned up the heat in his already hot seat when he lost weight by three pounds. His weight loss means Garcia is ineligible for the title if he wins the fight.
Additionally, Garcia paid Haney $1.5 million after agreeing to pay $500,000 for each pound over the limit. Haney and Garcia discussed the deal during Thursday’s news conference.
