Rita Ora shared a glimpse of her new adventure on Thursday when she debuted her costume for Disney’s upcoming Descendants sequel.
The singer and actress, 33, stunned in an over-the-top blood red dress as part of her role as the Queen of Hearts in the television musical film Descendants: Rise of Red.
In the film, which will stream on Disney+ on July 12, Rita plays the madcap royal from Lewis Carroll’s iconic novels Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.
Her character is the villainous mother of the new film’s main character, Red, played by YouTuber Kylie Cantrall.
Rita’s dark red suit featured a slim corset-style bodice complete with sheer red tulle along the bust.

Rita’s regal gown featured a voluminous satin gown that expanded several feet from her slender figure.
The costume included a striking scoop neck covered in gathered fabric that rose from her shoulders and completed the illusion of a large red heart.
The singer’s arms were covered in sheer red lace decorated with beads and sequins, and one of her hands had long gloves covered in sparkling red stones.
Rita wore a paneled necklace with a large red heart-shaped pendant hanging from it, and swapped her natural hair for a long, straight wig in the same shade of red as the rest of her look.
She completed the fantastic look with a large red crown decorated with more jewelry.
Rita stared sternly at the camera with her arms akimbo against a black background decorated with falling roses in one photo, but appeared more relaxed and casual in others.
Another image showed her wearing red-tinted heart-shaped glasses while backstage, and in other images she smiled for the camera while relaxing on a striped couch.
“All hail the Queen of Hearts Descendants: #TheRiseOfRed, a Disney Original Movie, is available July 12 on @disneyplus,” read the caption, which was shared jointly by Rita and the Disney Channel account.
The talented star, who showed off her surprisingly fit physique just days earlier, plays the evil mother of the new film’s main character, Red.
The costume featured a voluminous layered red satin skirt, a lace bodice, heart-shaped flaps over the shoulders, and sheer lace sleeves.
Rita wore red mascara, a long, straight red wig, and a sparkly crown covered in costume jewelry. She let her hair down and flashed a playful smile in some of the Instagram snaps of her.
The singer is making her debut in the long-running Descendants series, which began with the 2015 Disney Channel Original Movie.
The films feature the children of classic Disney movie villains as they rebel against their parents’ bad habits.
In The Rise Of Red, Rita plays the mother of one of the film’s protagonists.
The Queen of Hearts’ daughter, Red (Kylie Cantrall), joins forces with Chloe (Malia Baker), the daughter of Cinderella and King (née Prince) Charming, as they use the White Rabbit’s pocket watch to travel on the time and avoid a blow to your fantasy kingdom.
