During their brief romance, they enjoyed a romantic holiday together, but ended things just before the cast flew out to film the series in Sydney before Christmas.

Meanwhile, Tristan, 26, dated newcomer Lauren Sintes following his split from Liv.

Liv discussed filming the series Down Under with her ex, saying: “Honestly, I mean, stop dating people and spending time with them. It’s strange.

“I was actually a little scared to go to Sydney because it was the first time Tristan and I had gone without being together.

“In all the other shows outside, we had always been a couple. It was good, actually. We’re friends.

The news that she’s taking a break from the show won’t come as a big surprise, since Liv recently hinted that she plans to quit soon to focus on something else.

As for what she would do after leaving the show, she said “find a husband” and “have a few kids.”

She added: “I want to focus on my wellness brand JOMO. I want to do more of that.

Her break from the show comes less than a year after her good friends Ollie Locke and her husband Gareth also left the show in July to star in a new YouTube series.

The couple welcomed twins Apollo Magnus Obi and Cosima Emily Bex in August via surrogate, with Liv serving as Apollo’s godmother.

Ollie had appeared on and off in Made In Chelsea since the first series in 2011, while Gareth joined in 2018.

Speaking about their decision to leave, they said they had “outgrown it”. Made in Chelsea wanted more “control” over their production.

Gareth explained to The sun: “Made in Chelsea is about young people reconciling and breaking up. We are truly the fathers of it all.

“Now is the time to do something new and have something we have control over. We are part of the production of our new show and we will be able to share absolutely everything with our fans.

“With the arrival of children, we take a completely different path. We have outgrown Chelsea in that regard.

The next series of Made In Chelsea will see a host of stars return, including Dancing On Ice finalist Miles Nazaire, who is set to split his time between London and Sydney to appear in the Australian spin-off – Made In Bondi.

There will also be a spin-off with the British cast airing next month, with a number of stars flying off to film in Mauritius.
