Their star-studded Cotswolds wedding looked like a scene from the hit TV drama Succession, especially when their media tycoon grandfather Rupert Murdoch arrived by helicopter, dressed in a striking white suit and red suede shoes.
Now Charlotte Freud, whose parents are Rupert’s TV executive daughter Elisabeth and PR supremo Matthew Freud, has claimed her marriage to rapper Luke Storey essentially ended within hours.
She told The Mail on Sunday: “We had been married for 12 hours when our whole world fell apart. It fell apart on the way to our honeymoon. “It wasn’t a great sign.
Charlotte, now 23, met Luke, a recovering drug and alcohol addict, when she was just 18 and he was 33.
He encouraged Charlotte to join Narcotics Anonymous, helping her end her ketamine addiction.

They married at St Mary’s Church in Westwell, Oxfordshire, in 2022, and her grandfather Rupert flew in as he was about to divorce his fourth wife, Jerry Hall. Among the guests were actor Woody Harrelson and presenter Claudia Winkleman.
Charlotte said she soon realized Luke was “kind of a first-husband deal”, adding that theirs was a “show of marriage”.
She said: “It felt like there were three people in the relationship: him and me and our recovery.”
‘If our recovery was strong, then we were strong, and if it wasn’t, we were falling apart. We had a great relationship when we were sober, but neither of us could stay sober.
“The wedding was very public and everyone thought our relationship was amazing.”
They divorced after just 14 months in September last year.
Charlotte now lives in Los Angeles with a new boyfriend and is preparing to launch a sober dating app called Club Pillar in the coming months.
She was inspired to become the face of the app after a short stint using celebrity dating app Raya, and said: “It can feel isolating to date as a sober person, particularly in the UK where the drinking culture It’s so common.”
“I think the Club Pillar movement is a beautiful thing and I can’t wait to use the app.”
He has also written a children’s musical adaptation of Charlie Mackesy’s best-selling book, The Boy, The Mole, The Fox And The Horse, which is part of the curriculum in schools across the country.

She admitted she’s also a Succession fan, adding: “It’s totally true that it’s based on my family.” I loved seeing it.”
She claimed that her mother inspired Sarah Snook’s character Shiv Roy, the power-hungry daughter of media baron Logan Roy, played by Brian Cox.
“I think my mother is very Shiv, which she doesn’t agree with,” he said. ‘I wish I had had the life of Succession. When I see it, I say to my mom, “Where’s my helicopter?” It was the Metro for me.
‘I’ve probably spent more time with Logan Roy than I have with my actual grandfather. I see him at Christmas. We don’t go out together.
