Donald Trump delivered an urgent message to his supporters Saturday in Pennsylvania, urging them to register to vote before the looming deadline, but not before telling a rather intimate story about golf great Arnold Palmer.

The seven-time major winner grew up near the Latrobe airport, which now bears his name.

Trump entertained his supporters as the sun set with the story of Palmer’s early life, describing how the talented young golfer became a wealthy champion who bought the local golf club and put his father in charge.

But that wasn’t the most impressive part of his life, Trump added, enthusiastically about the subject.

“Arnold Palmer is all man,” he said.

‘I don’t want to disrespect women, I love women, but he was a real man.

“When he showered with the other professionals, they came out saying ‘Oh my God.’ I had to say it… I had to tell you the shower part because it’s true.

It was what the crowd had come for: some celebrity stories mixed with a dose of Democrat-bashing.

Having regaled the crowd with that salacious story, Trump moved on to the serious business of the night: laying out what was at stake in what he said was the most important election in the nation’s history.

Monday is the deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania. And nowhere is the race closer.

Trump will spend the weekend campaigning from west to east, from Pittsburgh to Pennsylvania, in a sign of his importance.

“If we win Pennsylvania, we win everything,” he told several thousand supporters gathered on the airport apron.

Trump is betting on Pennsylvania this weekend.

On Sunday he’s manning a McDonald’s chip stand near Philadelphia, hosting a town hall meeting in Lancaster, and then he’ll be at the Pittsburgh Steelers game that night.

His speech contained all of his greatest hits: exaggerated crowd size, complaints about a “weaponized” justice system and a promise to tell Vice President Kamala Harris, “You’re fired.”

But he also revealed that he had spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the day, a leader who is at a crucial moment in the midst of the war in the Middle East, weighing when and how to attack Iran.

The main message, however, was to encourage his supporters to vote early, beating the Democrats at their own game.

“Early voting is underway in Pennsylvania. Just go and vote,” he said. “If you haven’t registered to vote, you have two days.”

He told his crowd that their vote will decide “whether we give up America or whether we save America.”

And he promised them a ‘new golden age’.

“One hundred years from now, the 2024 presidential election will be considered America’s greatest victory,” he said. “We’ve been through a lot together and the finish line is finally in sight.”

Of the seven swing states, Pennsylvania is the largest.

The state is likely to provide the turning point in the election. Their 19 electoral college votes could push one candidate or the other over the threshold for victory on November 5.

To win, Trump needs high turnout in the deeply red counties around the blue-collar city of Pittsburgh to offset Harris’ support in large urban areas.

Trump won the state in 2016 by fewer than 70,000 votes. He lost it four years later by just a little more.

The latest DailyMail.com/JL Partners poll shows it couldn’t be closer.

If the election were tomorrow, each candidate would get 47 percent of the vote.

Harris spent Saturday at a get-out-the-vote event in Detroit, Michigan, alongside Michigan-born rapper Lizzo on the first day of early voting.

He was then due to travel to Atlanta, Georgia, for a rally with pop singer Usher.
