MasterChef Australia star Shannon Bennett has hit back at “careless” pet owners who have left dog faeces outside her multimillion-dollar Byron Bay mansion.
Shannon lives in a sprawling $2 million six-bedroom mansion that enjoys direct access to the picturesque Belongil Beach, but has been the target of this disgusting act.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the celebrity chef took aim at careless pet owners, specifically people who take their dogs to the beach to do yoga.
He claimed people were not picking up after their pets and were instead leaving bags of dog poop on the pavement outside his property.
Shannon shared a series of photos of bags of dog poop that had apparently been left lying around her house and on the beach.
‘New in town? Yoga beginner?’ he fumed in one post.
“Start by bending over and picking up your dog’s shit, also known as the downward dog position.”
It went on to instruct pet owners to use the facilities provided to dispose of the offending items rather than leaving them outside their property.
“And then put it in any of the 10 bins provided and not on my steps,” the post continued.

Alongside her furious post, she also shared a photo showing a trio of dogs walking along the coast at dusk without leashes.
Shannon, who is in a relationship with Erica Packer, pulled no punches when captioning the angry post and told offenders in no uncertain terms to do the right thing.
“Stop being bastards and pick up the doggy bags,” he wrote.
“Throwing the bag into the sand or rocks and then drawing a circle with your toe in the sand around the bag is really weird shit.”
It seemed like Shannon’s post struck a chord with her followers and many were quick to express their agreement with Shannon on the issue.
“Well said,” offered one follower. “It’s really disappointing to see how many people leave their bags of dog poop on the beach. Especially when the tide is coming in.

Another offered a fairly straightforward solution as they wrote: “If you saw someone drop a bag of poop, I think you would be within your rights to pick it up and throw it at them in the hope that it explodes on impact.”
One dog owner was also quick to back Shannon’s stance.
“I totally agree with you,” they wrote. “I couldn’t believe the amount of dog poop bags along the coast, and yes, I have a dog and I am responsible for his mess.”
Belongil Beach has dog-friendly sections, however it is unclear if this is the section that runs through Shannon’s property.
