The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, where Culkin admitted that Eisenberg was “shaking” on the red carpet.
It was acquired by Searchlight Pictures for a whopping $10 million after an all-night auction shortly after the premiere.
Now the film will be released in theaters on October 18, competing with Paramount horror sequel Smile 2 and Lionsgate thriller Flight Risk.
