Selling Sunset newcomer Amanda Lynn has spoken out to insist she is not racist after a TikTok video showing her old discriminatory tweets went viral ahead of the release of season 8.
In the run-up to the release of the Netflix show’s new series, which dropped on September 6, a clip exposed the real estate agent’s historic posts in which she retweeted comments that included the n-word.
Amanda has since addressed the tweets, calling them a “brief error in judgment” while also expressing “regret.”
Her representative told DailyMail.com: ‘The tweets in question, made over a decade ago, were a brief lapse of judgment and do not reflect Amanda Lynn’s beliefs or values.
“She regrets her mistake, has learned from it and is not racist.”
Selling Sunset newcomer Amanda Lynn ‘regrets’ her old tweets and ‘isn’t racist’
Ahead of the release of Selling Sunset season 8, a viral TikTok video exposed the real estate agent’s historic posts in which she retweeted comments that included the n-word.
Amanda was brought onto Selling Sunset as a friend of Bre Tiesi and came with reports that Chelsea Lazkani’s husband, Jeff Lazkani, had been spotted kissing a younger woman in a hotel lobby.
Days before the release of season eight, a TikTok video posted by user stephwithdadeets circulated on social media showing screenshots of tweets that were apparently posted by Amanda in 2012 and 2013.
Two of the tweets included a quote from another user who had used the n-word, while a third was a racist quote. His profile is now private.
Explaining her findings, the TikTok user said in the video: “The newbie is Amanda Lynn. She’s also a real estate agent and also has a racist past.
‘From the Season 8 trailer, it looks like Amanda Lynn is the one who goes to Bre (Tiesi) with the story about Chelsea’s (Lazkani) husband.
“Someone sent me these old tweets from Amanda Lynn. And Amanda Lynn has used the n-word multiple times.”
The TikTok video was reposted by Selling Sunset’s Chelsea, who subsequently claimed that Bre had teamed up with Amanda to “ruin” her.
“Bre brought her racist friend on the show to try to ruin me,” she alleged on X.

On X, Chelsea said Bre brought Amanda on the show “to try to ruin me”
‘I never met the girl Amanda a day in my life, but she and Bre, in their words, wanted to ‘take me down.’
“I agreed to the scene because there was already a plot in mind. Everything was premeditated, I just handled it as best I could.”
The damning TikTok video was widely shared on social media, where users accused Netflix of failing to conduct thorough background checks on the cast.
Commenting on the clip on X, one user said: ‘Sunset’s new cast member Amanda Lynn has racist tweets.
“When we ask for drama, we don’t ask for intolerance. Jesus is in charge of evaluating the production of these new women.”
On Reddit, another posted: ‘I really don’t understand why they keep making Selling Sunset such a horrible show cast wise.
“Don’t you see how much people dislike Selling The OC? We don’t need a repeat of that.”
A third commented: “This is a genuine question. Who in 2012 thought it was acceptable to use the n-word? I didn’t and NEVER have. People are absolute rubbish.”
