A horrific single-vehicle crash on a rural highway left one child dead and five adult passengers with minor injuries.
Emergency services received reports that a Holden Captiva on an access road to the Great Northern Hwy at De Grey, east of Port Hedland in Western Australia, left the road before crashing and overturning at around 10.50pm on Wednesday.
A three-year-old girl was found seriously injured and died at the scene.
There were also three men and two women in the vehicle who suffered minor injuries.
Leading accident investigators have been dispatched to the scene as the circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated.
