Donald Trump’s eldest son blamed the radical left for Saturday’s rally shooting, but vowed that won’t stop his father from campaigning.
This came hours after the former president was shot at a rally in Pennsylvania, upending what was already an extraordinary campaign season.
Investigations are continuing, but Donald Trump Jr. suggested there was no doubt who was behind the apparent assassination attempt.
“I just spoke to my father on the phone and he is very excited,” she said.
“He will never stop fighting to save America, no matter what the radical left throws at him.”
Donald Trump Jr. said his father would continue fighting for America despite the shooting
Earlier, President Joe Biden spoke on camera to condemn the shooting.
“There is no place for this kind of violence in America. It’s sick. It’s sick,” he said.
“It’s one of the reasons why we have to unite this country.”
The former president was in mid-flight at his rally in Pennsylvania when shots rang out.
Trump grabbed his right ear with his right hand, then lowered his hand to look at her before falling to his knees behind the podium before Secret Service agents surrounded him and covered him.
More gunshots could be heard on the live video stream before the words “shooter down.”
Trump stood up, blood visible below his right ear. His red “Make America Great Again” cap fell off amid the chaos.

But his supporters were delighted to see him raise his fist in defiance.
The campaign was already historic, with a 78-year-old man facing off against an 81-year-old in a battle of veterans.
Biden has been fighting for his political life after a shaky debate performance in Atlanta, Georgia, last month, taking the political stage into uncharted territory.
That was even before Trump’s rally was disrupted by a gunman.
The Biden campaign said it was suspending outbound communications and seeking to pull television ads.
