Friends of Ruth Langsford have reportedly insisted there is “no chance” of her reuniting with her husband Eamonn Holmes.
The presenter, 64, and Eamonn, 64, announced last week their plans to divorce after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together.
And since Ruth was reportedly left hurt after discovering that Eamonn is being comforted by a woman in her forties in the midst of their separation who he has befriended.
Ruth has been taking an extended break from Loose Women amid the split and recently discovered that Eamonn is being comforted by a younger friend, a blonde divorcee and relationship counsellor, with whom he has been on a “series of outings”, according to Sun.
The pair reportedly struck up a friendship in recent years and the publication claims Eamonn took her on a trip to a safari park, a Manchester United match and a Beyoncé concert.

And a friend told me now. Mirror: ‘Ruth was hurt when she found out about Eamonn’s friendship with another woman, but she is strong and will be back soon with a smile on her face, giving her best, as she always does.
“She needs a bit of time to regroup after everything she’s been through, which is understandable, but she plans to return to Loose Women, with renewed vigour, in July.”
The friend also insisted there was “no chance” of the couple getting back together.
Reports claim Eamonn and the woman got in touch via social media after they were both involved with a mental health charity.
A spokesperson for Ruth said: ‘Ruth had a holiday booked from Loose Women and has extended her leave. She is looking forward to returning to the show in due course.”

And on Saturday, reports first emerged that Eamonn is being comforted over his fractured marriage by the blonde divorcee in her forties who is also a relationship counsellor.
According to The Sun, Eamonn has been getting close to an unknown woman since last year after they first came into contact several years ago.
While she is not said to be the reason for the marriage breakdown, it is understood Ruth did not know her until recently and she will not appear on TV again this week.
A source said Sun: ‘Ruth will not appear on screen again this week.
“She has decided to extend her break from ITV, so she will not be returning to the Loose Women panel just yet.”

The couple met through Twitter after the woman commented on a post and that sparked a conversation between the couple.
Friends explained that the woman’s counseling skills include dealing with “feeling sad” and “separation and divorce,” so it seems appropriate that she supports Eamonn in this time of uncertainty.
