Scandal-hit special prosecutor Nathan Wade spoke publicly for the first time after resigning from his former lover and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ case against Donald Trump.
Wade has been at the center of a bitter divorce case, where it was revealed that she was in a relationship with Willis. The scandal rocked the county’s election interference case against Trump and Wade was forced to resign as lead prosecutor.
In his first interview since his resignation, he appeared outraged and remorseless about his relationship with Willis.

Wade was a little more willing to express regret when asked if he wasn’t happy with how it all went down, but he still had his guard up.

“I regret that this private matter became the focal point of this very important process,” he said. ABC News. “This is a very important case.”
“I hate that my personal life has started to overshadow the real issues in the case.”
He also said he tried to put aside his feelings for Willis given the importance of the case, but said his “feelings are very strong.”
‘Absolutely, absolutely. I admit that might have been an approach,” Wade said.
“But again, when you’re in the middle of it, these feelings build up and you get to a point where the feelings are so strong that, you know, you start wanting to do things that really aren’t any big concern. of the public.’
Willis’s conduct came under scrutiny during a series of sensational hearings, with Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ultimately criticizing her for a “tremendous error of judgment” and for acting in an “unprofessional manner.”
Wade has yet to respond to contempt of court allegations leveled by his ex-wife in an April divorce filing.
Joycelyn Wade made the allegation in court documents alleging that her ex-partner had failed to pay $4,400 in medical bills.

“The defendant urgently requires medical procedures, specifically an endoscopy, a colonoscopy and an ultrasound, due to the severe physical symptoms she has been suffering from,” the documents state.
“These symptoms have significantly affected his ability to consume most foods, resulting in substantial weight loss.”
She claims she can’t pay the bills herself since Wade stopped paying child support for her two children.
However, he escaped with just a slap on the wrist, after McAfee dramatically ruled that he could remain on Trump’s election interference case if Wade dropped out.
