The 52-year-old actor – who is busy promoting his new series Palm Royale with Kristen Wiig – revealed he spoke with the show’s creator about the second half of season 5, which begins production this summer after a significant delay.

“I texted (creator) Taylor Sheridan a few months ago and his response was, ‘Absolutely, we’re going to finish this with like 10 episodes,'” Josh said. AND THURSDAY.

“I said, ‘Hey man, I enjoyed working on the show so much,’ and he said, ‘Well, we’ll be back,'” Josh explained. “I can not wait to go there.”

Regarding the potential for a spinoff starring Lucas as the Montana rancher, Josh said, “Man, from your lips to God’s ears. I would love it.’

He added: “I mean, obviously, I love the world that Taylor created. I like to see the generational aspect, the temporal aspect, obviously the 1800s. So yeah, I’ll be there in a second.

Josh’s interview comes after Yellowstone star Ian Bohen spoke about the final chapter schedule.

“We’re going back, rumor has it, in May,” Bohen, 47, who started as a recurring cast member early on in the series before joining the main cast in season four, said at the Oscars party from the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

He added that Yellowstone would probably shoot “this summer, and then we should do it in November or so.”

Bohen also mentioned that start dates were not final, saying, “It could be June.”

He outlined the plan for the series, saying they would “shoot six episodes” before airing them, potentially starting in “November, maybe December.”
